Capsicum, also known as Cayenne or Capsaicin, is an anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant. It is a digestive aid and stimulates the production of gastric juices, aids metabolism, fights ulcers and relieves gas.

Capsicum is added to many herbal formulas as a catalyst for the other herbs. It also stimulates digestion and enhances blood flow. It became NSP (Natures Sunshine Products) first product back in 1972 after Gene Hughes took it by the spoonful to help his stomach.
Caution: Do not take capsicum if you are on blood thinners or taking any of the following: chlomipramine (Anafranil), clozapine (Clozaril), imipramine (Surmontil, Tofranil), olanzapine (Zyprexa), tacrine (Cognex), theophylline (Elixophyllin, Theolair, Theo-Dur, and others) and zileuton (Zyflo). Taking capsicum with any of these medications could increase the side effects of these medications.
Each capsule contains 520 mg capsicum. The capsicum used in this product contains 35,000-40,000 Scoville Heat Units.
Suggested dosage:
One capsule 4 times daily with food. Do not take on empty stomach.
